Knavesmire Cottage

Knavesmire cottage is a Grade 2 listed building, originally forming part of the old village school for Dringhouses. Built in 1852 it retains many original features.
The cottage is the ideal base for exploring the wonderful historic City of York and surrounding countryside.
The Knavesmire, which is accessed by Cherry Lane which is opposite the cottage is a lovely open space, ideal for walking dogs or on a summers day for a family picnic.
Knavesmire Cottage is 20 minutes walk from York City with an excellent bus service, with buses running every 10 minutes into the city centre.
There are excellent eating facilities very near to the cottage including an excellent pub\/restaurant, the Fox and Roman, for a relaxed meal in a wonderfful old world setting which caters for the whole family and welcomes children.
Everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay is included in the cottage with comfortable seating and beds.
